DAY FOUR: BAYELSA STATE MINISTRY FOR SPECIAL PROJECTS TAKES A GIANT LEAP

On February 14, 2013, Bayelsa State under the Restoration administration has many reasons to pop champagne, even though for the better part of last year the State was bedeviled by untold adversities. The Great Flood nicknamed “Tandiara” is a sad reminder of how nature can mercilessly unleash terror on humanity.
One of the areas Bayelsans might have just wished away is the Ministry of Special Projects. However, when a leader is imbued with vision and he develops the right strategy, dreams that appear far-flung are usually translated into reality within unimaginably short timelines.
The Ministry of Special Projects has in less than 365 days executed some landmark projects in the State. After a tour of the projects embarked upon by the Ministry, stakeholders, CSOs, NGOs and other stakeholders can only thank Governor Henry Seriake Dickson-the arrow-head of the Restoration Government and our amiable and dynamic Commissioner Chief Fred Obuah for the speedy manner in which the projects are executed.
Among some of the Projects embarked upon by the Ministry around the Yenagoa Metropolis include:
1. Reconstruction of Traditional Rulers Council Building.
